Hobie kayaks are amazing. Pedal Power!!! We have owned our Hobie Outbacks for two years now and are extremely happy with our purchase. One of the great accessories we got is the Hobie Standard Plug-In Kayak Cart. This is a very important accessory if you have to move your kayak more than 50 yards and essential if you are moving your kayak by yourself. Hobie has multiple tire types to make moving your kayak around as easy as possible. The other cool feature of the Kayak Cart is a bungee clip to hold the wheels in the kayak even if it tips over. Once the kayaking is done, the cart breaks down into the frame, tires, and clips making it much easier to pack and store

Hobie has rubber tires for hard, or rocky, surfaces, and a couple of different softer balloon tires for moving across soft or sandy areas. We really wish we had purchased balloon tires as pulling your kayak across soft sand with the hard rubber tires can be difficult…. but then how does the balloon tires work on non-sandy surfaces? We must get our kayaks across both kinds of surfaces. Sigh.
