Four Seasons Campground - Pilesgrove, NJ
Since the cell service was so poor at the campground in West Point, we decided to head south at least until we got a better connection to be able to work. Once we got on the road, we found out that we could arrive at our destination by 12:30pm so we determined that we would just continue to our destination. It was so exciting to drive without the check engine light! ...but can you believe we got the light AGAIN about 2 hours into our journey? This really doesn't make me happy. We talked to Entegra, Spartan and Cummins. Of course they want us to drive to the next Cummins repair place, but who has time for that? What about work? I told them that I don't want to deal with this again until Raleigh. Sigh.

We learned something very important today! Because the navigation system inside the coach relies exclusively on GPS, if there is bad weather (like heavy clouds), the GPS system just freezes. I missed at least two key turns because the GPS system lost connection. This was really frustrating trying to go around NYC.
Have path to destination written down or printed when there is any threat of bad weather.

My frustration with the check engine was escalated to the Cummins East Account Manager. At this point I told Account Manager that I was tired of spending my nights in truck repair yards while my days were being spent in diners trying to get access to the internet. I also told her that I wanted this problem fixed or we would be discussing a new engine or RV soon. For the first time, the repair tech came to me in the campground to work on Maggie. He felt that the last guy who worked on her had done a pretty complete job and had, in fact, already replaced the part that he had brought with him to replace. After 3 to 5 hours of investigation, no problem could be found for the check engine light. Before the tech, Andrew, left, he replaced the part he brought with him and reset the check engine code. Did he fix the problem? None of us think so and expect to see the check engine light again on the drive to Raleigh, NC starting on Friday evening. We just hope that we can get Maggie to Raleigh to be fixed there.

Did I mention the impact of very poor cell service? Whew! It's really difficult to work without it. We really need to get cell and WiFi boosters!

Richmond, VA
We decided (and purchased) on the WeBoost Cellular Booster with the truck antenna along with the WiFiRanger Elite pack to boost the Wifi. We hope to get them soon to get them tested and working for the next trip.

Once again we drove two hours and got the check engine light AGAIN! This was expected so we didn't contact anyone as we are already scheduled to take Maggie to a Cummins Repair in Kenly, NC on Monday.

We left NJ about 6:00pm and were able to easily get through Baltimore and DC pretty easily. We even got past Potomac Mills with no traffic... but we hit heavy traffic shortly after and was still packed in Richmond when we stopped about midnight.
